Innovative Sports Training The Motion Monitor Software Modules

The MotionMonitor® Acquisition, Visualization & Biomechanical Analysis Software is the basic software engine driving the products.

The software can be purchased separately as a stand-alone software package or as part of a complete system. These complete, turn-key systems include both hardware and software. In certain circumstances, The MotionMonitor® base unit can also be purchased separately to collect data from your existing hardware. Contact us to determine if your hardware can be integrated with The MotionMonitor®.

The MotionMonitor® software incorporates several modules to support real-time collection of data from hardware components. The C3D Model Builder module enables biomechanical analysis of data collected from any hardware that exports to the C3D format. It can be used independent of hardware for post-processing and analysis. The listing below provides a brief description of the MotionMonitor® software modules. Call one of our Client Support Engineers to discuss a configuration appropriate for your needs and to obtain a quotation.

The MotionMonitor® for 6DOF Trackers

The MotionMonitor® for 6DOF TrackersCapture 3DOF or 6DOF data from Motion Analysis Hawk and Eagle Cameras; Qualisys Pro-Reflex and Oqus Cameras; Ascension Flock of Birds, MotionStar, trakStar, miniBirds; Polhemus Liberty, Patriot or FasTrak; and PhaseSpace or Optotrak active optical systems. Setup is fast with on-line support, easy to use dialogs and configuration files. Realtime computation of User-Defined Data fields are generated using standard math notation, and a full compliment of vector, matrix and boolean operators.

The MotionMonitor® Biomechanics Option

The MotionMonitor® Biomechanics OptionTurn your 6DOF data from kinematic trackers and forceplate data into meaningful biomechanical data. Choose body segments, digitize segment lengths and local coordinate systems, apply anthropometric assumptions, compute all kinematic and kinetic data including joint forces and moments using standard inverse dynamic models. Display rendered images and graphical data in real time.

The MotionMonitor® A/D Data Acquisition

The MotionMonitor® A/D Data AcquisitionThis Option adds support for data acquisition boards by Measurement Computing Corp. and permits collection of data from a variety of analogue devices, including foceplates and EMG.

The MotionMonitor® Ground Force Option

The MotionMonitor® Ground Force OptionThis option collects signals from Bertec, AMTI and Kistler forceplates, processes forces, moments and centers of pressures, displays reaction forces in real time and automatically converts them to the system's reference frame.

The MotionMonitor® Hand Force Option

The MotionMonitor® Hand Force OptionForceplates for the hands! Small transducers by Bertec, AMTI and ATI collect 3 directional forces at the hand. Automatically synchronize them with kinematic trackers to monitor these forces in 3D space. Compute top-down joint forces and moments in an inverse dynamics model when combined with our Biomechanics Option.

The MotionMonitor® EMG Option

The MotionMonitor® EMG OptionFilter, rectify, integrate and display your EMG signals fully synchronized with forceplate, kinematic and video data. Choose from raw, RMS, and Power Spectrum in real-time displays or perform exposure variance analysis or frequency shift in post processing.

The MotionMonitor® Integrated Video Option

The MotionMonitor® Integrated Video OptionIntegrated Video captures reference video and automatically synchronizes it with all your other data sources. Telestrator functions will draw lines and objects or compute angles and areas. Video overlays permit comparison of one activity to another.

The MotionMonitor® Biofeedback Option

The MotionMonitor® Biofeedback OptionUse any of The MotionMonitor's® raw or computed data to generate audio, visual, analog voltage or digital data feedback. Ideal for controlling subject movements during timed or proprioceptive studies. Also perfect for situations where conditional feedback is to be presented to the subject. Add stereoscopic immersion to test situations in a virtual world that can not be done in the real world

The MotionMonitor® CT-MRI Registration & Landmark Tracking Option

The MotionMonitor® CT-MRI Registration & Landmark Tracking OptionUse this function to register and display high resolution CT and MRI scans for dynamic playback of activities synchronized with kinematic and kinetic data.

The MotionMonitor® Hand, Foot & Spine Detail Option

The MotionMonitor® Hand, Foot & Spine Detail OptionCapture and analyze intricate movements of the hand, foot and spine. Trackers can be assigned to individual bones of each of these segments to monitor motion throughout activities. Use defined protocols, such as ISB recommendations, to define specific axis layouts for each segment.

The MotionMonitor® Eye Tracking with 3D Gaze

The MotionMonitor® Eye Tracking with 3D GazeThis option provides support for the Eyelink II and Eyelink 1000 eye trackers and includes head tracking integration, calibration, validation, sychronization and analysis routines. The first tracker to offer 3D Gaze with unconstrained movement in large spaces.

The MotionMonitor® Virtual Reality Support Option

The MotionMonitor® Virtual Reality Support OptionThis option provides support for Stereoscopic Displays and Haptic feedback devices. Calibration routines of monitor and haptic devices ensures proper co-location with kinematic trackers. Head compensation ensures a realistic immersive experience. Support includes rear projection on flat screens, half-mirrored immersive displays or stereoscopic monitors together with shutter glasses.

The MotionMonitor® Metal Mapping Option

The MotionMonitor® Metal Mapping OptionMetal Mapping routines for magnetic trackers will test and calibrate your system for distortions caused by metal in your measurement space.
